British government sacrifices thousands of jobs and families in the steel industry as a thank you to China,

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2016/03/30/britain-sacrifices-steel-industry-to-curry-favour-with-china/ Britain sacrifices steel industry to curry favour with China "The British are sacrificing an entire European industry to say thank you to China for signing up to the nuclear power project at Hinkley Point, said one official in Brussels bitterly. If we can bail out the banks with £ billions to save a few bankers and hedge fund managers, we can invest in our steel industry to save thousand of jobs and families. T housands of British jobs put at risk at Tata Steel, because this government refuses to intervene in any positive way. Thousands more jobs put at risk in associated and other business reliant on the demand generated by steel workers families. This government should stop the dumping of cheap steel (predominately by their new friends in China) onto our markets, subsidise production of steel to reduc e the costs of our steel, take Tata in

The mischief caused (to me at any rate) by the person or persons who sabotaged all the clocks last October, has been rectified and we are now back onto the correct time. Clocks forward 1 hour! F1 a television favourite of mine, is removed from my screen (apart from the British Grand Prix) by the greed and self interest of Ecclestone, and the "power" of Sky Television. I totally refuse to put even more money into Murdoch's pocket by purchasing his "Sky Sports" packages (or any of the other packages) just to watch one series of events and will stick with "Freeview". The spread of Sky television into all aspects of viewing is, I would suggest, depriving me and thousan ds of other people the pleasure of watching pop

Osborne: An incompetent coward, not fit for office

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/mar/21/stephen-crabb-government-u-turns-disability-cuts-leaves-budget-disarray Disability benefits U-turn leaves Cameron with £4.4bn to find The new Secretary of State for Work and Pensions Stephen Crabb  The government is in a complete shambles and this budget is descending into meaningless farce. The "one nation government" argument has been exposed as a cynical lie, and Osborne has been  revealed as the incompetent charlatan that many have always considered him to be. Moreover, he has demonstrated a complete contempt for Parliament with his failure to appear in the Commons to face questioning and in sending a substitute in his place. George Osborne, the Chancellor of the Exchequer   By this act of cowardice alone, he has demonstrated that he is unfit to hold one of the three great offices of State (or any other office for that matter) and should be sacked from his post.

England, Grand Slam winners 2016. Perhaps not the greatest game of the 6 Nations Tournament this year, but certainly the most satisfying result. Congratulations to Eddie Jones, the staff and and all the England players. France 21pts, England 31pts.. Meanwhile, back in Jersey (well Poole actually but Condor probably do not know the difference), the £50 million Flagship "Condor Liberation" was "arrested", earlier this week. The ship was suffering from "substantial deficiencies" and was detained in Poole by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) for passenger safety concerns. Repairs and modifications have been carried out and the ship is now back in service. (Well until the next breakdown anyway). A curious development

The hypocrisy of Iain Duncan-Smith

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/mar/18/iain-duncan-smith-resigns-from-cabinet-over-disability-cuts Iain Duncan-Smith  has resigned as work and pensions secretary over cuts Duncan-Smith resigns.  Iain Duncan Smith said that "he was stepping down because Osborne’s cuts were for self-imposed political reasons rather than in the national economic interest". He also said that “I am unable to watch passively while certain policies are enacted in order to meet the fiscal self-imposed restraints that I believe are more and more perceived as distinctly political rather than in the national economic interest,”. In other words, Duncan-Smith has come to the view that austerity i s not an economic necessity. Austerity is a political choice. It is strange indeed that the man who has over the past eight years, imposed cuts of over £30 billion on welfare spending, condemning thousands of people in this country to hardship and misery and even driving some to suicide.

England 25 Wales 21. England took the Triple Crown at Twickenham yesterday defeating Wales in what was probably the best England performance in this years 6 Nations. The scoreline tends to flatter Wales as they managed to increase their points total by 14 points only when England were reduced to 14 as Dan Cole was sent to the sin bin with just 10 minutes left on the clock. Another of Craig Joubert, 's bizarre decisions. Only France now stand between England and a 2016 Grand Slam. Late news: England are the Six Nations Champions for 2016 after Scotland win at Murrayfield. Only the match against France remains.   https://paper.li/f-1346065353 Good morning everyone. It is March already the 3rd month of 2016 and even with the extra day, the year seems to be hurtling by at an even faster rate than last year! BCC Director general John Longworth  Which ever side of the European debate you happen to sit on, it is outrageous that you can be suspended, and ultimately loose your job (did he jump or was he pushed?), for suggesting that Britain would be better off outside the European Union. This high handed, arrogant and dictatorial behaviour, demonstrates the lengths of bullying that the pro EU lobby will employ to frighten the people of this country to vote "Stay" in the referendum. There is even growing speculation the Downing Street was involved in this hounding of British Chamber of Commerce Director general John Longworth. The referendum debate is fast becoming a sordid scaremongering farce, with each side throwing out smears, threats, bullying and disinformat
