The Daily Telegraph, doing what the Daily Telegraph does best. Creating a scaremongering headline to suit its own political agenda, and to divert attention away from the real (and embarrassing) issues. The question is not whether anyone is for or against a fuel crisis. No one in their right mind (except maybe Francis Maude) wishes to see un necessary panic buying, the prospect of empty petrol stations, rationing of scarce petrol, essential services starved of fuel and non deliveries of supplies to shops and supermarkets. The question is of course, an industrial dispute between workers and employers which in the end must be resolved between the parties concerned with or without the assistance of ACAS. Certainly the mischievous "assistance" of The Daily Telegraph, Francis Maude, David Cameron and George Osborne is neither helpful nor warranted. The fact that Unite is a contributor to the Labour Party is neither here nor there. The vast majority of unions affiliated to the TUC are contributors. The TUC created the Labour Party to represent working people in the political processes of this country. Why should the Leader of the Labour Party be expected to condem working people taking part in an industrial dispute, simply because The Daily Telegraph and the leaders of political parties representing the employers and the vested interests of industry, wish to score cheap political points and create discord and division amongst working people? Cameron and the rest have not condemned the greed and corrupt practices of business, the speculators and the Banks and there by the question could equally be asked, "Are David Cameron, David Clegg and the Daily Telegraph for or against a city generated economic crisis?"
